Riga-based Mac IT consultant for small-business clients — deployment, compliance, MDM, and the long tail of Mac software questions that small teams actually face.

Riga, Latvia IT consulting since 2014 [email protected]

I do IT consulting for small Mac-running businesses out of Riga — deployment, compliance, MDM rollouts, and the everyday Mac software questions that come up after the consultancy invoice clears. AppStorrent comes up in client conversations often enough that I wrote a longer reference page on it.

Background

I started doing Mac IT consulting in 2014 for Riga-based design studios and small accountancies, where the Mac fleet was always smaller than the Windows side but more visible because it ran the creative work. That practice has grown over a decade and now covers Mac IT support for around forty small-business clients across the Baltic region.

Since 2020 I have written occasional reference pieces for Latvian-language and English-language Mac IT communities, mostly covering MDM rollouts, Apple’s notarisation pipeline, and what small-business clients actually face when their Mac fleet meets compliance requirements. AppStorrent Guide is my English-language reference on the Russian-language Mac torrent brand that small-business clients keep asking me about.

Areas of focus

Mac IT consulting

Ten years of consulting for Baltic small-business clients on Mac deployment, MDM, and compliance.

macOS notarisation & Gatekeeper

What changes when Apple updates the notarisation requirements and how that affects existing Mac client fleets.

MDM & compliance

Jamf, Mosyle and Kandji rollouts for SMB clients running mixed Mac fleets in regulated industries.

“The IT-side question about AppStorrent in 2026 is not whether the catalogue is safe, it is whether your client’s compliance framework can survive an audit that includes any non-paid software channel at all.” Daria Sokolova · talk, Baltic Mac IT Meetup, 2024

How I approach this work

The reference pages I write here start with what real small-business IT consultants and SMB Mac admins actually need to flag to clients — the spelling-variant clone risk, the MDM compliance angle, the comparison against paid licensed channels — and answer them straight, without the moralising that usually surrounds anything torrent-adjacent. Where the topic intersects with regulated workloads or Apple’s notarisation pipeline, I name the constraint and let readers decide.

I do not host downloads, mirror catalogues, or take any commercial relationship with the sites I write about. The model on this site is editorial only: longer-form Mac IT reference pages, kept current as the underlying property changes and as Apple’s policies tighten.
